Last week I asked you how your new year’s resolutions were going. Chances are, you’re probably feeling stuck right about now. Remember, in order to change your actions, you must change your thoughts. You’ve heard the saying “don’t let the little things get you down”. But the truth is, we all have that little voice inside our head that makes us doubt ourselves. I call that voice SID. You see, SID isn’t just as name, it’s an acronym. It stands for Self-Induced Doubt. The key to sustainable goals is to overcome that doubt and listen to your true inner voice.
Tip to Take Away
Think about a counterfeit painting. We’ve all seen movies where people counterfeit great works of art. Most people can’t detect the fakes and it takes a real specialist to discern the tiny differences between what’s real and what’s not. Here is a tip that helped me shake off that negative energy and self-doubt. I surround myself with people who can help. One of those people is my coach. He has a different perspective and because he’s outside looking in, he can often see things that I’m missing. I encourage you to surround yourself with people you trust. Find a coach or a mentor who’s going to challenge you and to hold your feet to the fire to make you move. Remember, to change your actions, you must change your thoughts. Surround yourself with good people and good things will happen.
