“You never really understand a person until you consider things from his point of view . . . until you climb into his skin and walk around in it.” That is one of the most memorable lines from Harper Lee’s classic novel, To Kill a Mockingbird. The quote is still just as powerful today as it was when the novel was written. With just a few simple words, the author advises us to stop and consider life from a different point of view.
Our point of view drives how we live, from how we eat to how we raise our children. Perspective is based on our life experiences and what we’ve been told… and those things we hear turn into our beliefs, our truth. The challenge is, sometimes who we want to become or how we want to live is very different than where we come from or what we’ve experienced thus far. You need new insight, a new perspective.
I can give you just that. This is what I have been trained to do: remove bias, remove old stories, remove practical and linear thinking and open up the mind to new possibilities. Through coaching, you can begin to broaden your perspective and see that what you took as truth may not be; there are other ways of thinking/being/doing. This is required to change your actions.
If you do not shift your perspective, you will not shift your behavior. Call or email today for your FREE 15 minute coaching evaluation. Let me be a part of your journey.
