Find Your Balance

Updated: Mar 27, 2022

What if I told you there was a way to run your life effectively without running yourself into the ground?

It might sound crazy with all of the struggles we face daily at work and at home but, I promise, it is possible. Anything you want to do is within your grasp and all you have to do is find your balance. Once you achieve true balance, you will be free to help those around you and to create the life you’ve always dreamed of living.

Here are a couple of tips to help you get started:

Tip #1: Learn to manage your time effectively. For most of us, the same devices that help us increase productivity can also decrease our focus. Turn your phone off or set it in do not disturb mode for thirty minutes. In that time, try writing down your daily “to do” list to help you focus. Even a few minutes away from the distractions of your text messages and Facebook feed will both increase your productivity and decrease your stress. Once your list is done, start checking off those items. Bonus points if your phone stays off until your tasks are complete!

Tip #2: Take a break. Whether you are in a high stress sales environment or working from home, we all need to take meaningful breaks in order to improve our frame of mind. Plan a few short breaks throughout your day to reset and recharge. Even something as simple as leaving your desk and taking a short walk around the building will break up the monotony of your day. If you can’t squeeze in breaks during your workday, be sure to take time to mediate in the morning before work or in the evening when you get home.

Give these tips a try as soon as possible. By integrating these steps into your daily life, you will find yourself slowly changing in to the person you always wished you could be.
