Find Your Tribe

Updated: Mar 3, 2022

“It doesn’t matter how many people you meet in your life; you just need the real ones who accept you for who you are and help you become who you should be.” – Roy T. Bennett

We all need a loyal group of people surrounding us who care for us unconditionally, people who listen, keep our secrets; and believe that we can achieve our dreams, even when we are feeling uncertain.

So what are some of the characteristics of a true supporter? A true supporter is someone who is not just a casual friend. They truly have your best interests in mind. This person will probably ask you questions when you are contemplating change in your life like, “What is going to make you truly happy right now?”

Supporters are not envious. Instead, the people in your inner circle should be your biggest cheerleaders. They should be rooting you on from the sidelines, even when everyone else is silent or booing. When everyone else says, “best of luck,” or “keep me posted” a true supporter says, “What can I do to help?” or “Let me make a phone call.” Here’s another great thing, when you do finally achieve success, a true supporter is not afraid to let everyone else know how great you are.

Surrounding yourself with a positive, supportive, inner circle is the best thing you can do to realign your life with your goals. As humans, we need our tribe to thrive. When we surround ourselves with positive people, we attract even more positive energy. Our true friends remind us that tomorrow is a new day filled with fresh opportunities to become better versions of ourselves. They not only help you move forward, but also provide support every step of the way.
