What Sets Your Soul On Fire?

Updated: Mar 27, 2022

“I light myself on fire with enthusiasm and people will come from miles to watch me burn.” – John Wesley

That is my favorite quote of all time and I have adopted it into my life.

My question to you is, what is your fire?

What is it that makes you burn? What is your enthusiasm? What are you tied into? What do you love? What is the thing that overwhelms you and makes you want to take action?

Vince Lombardi once asked his players, what’s the most important part of the game? They answered with things like, teamwork, fans, winning. He held up the football and said “this is the most important part. Without the football, you can’t win.”

What’s the football in your life?  Have you identified it? What causes you to get enthusiastic?

Here are some more thoughts about enthusiasm from some of history’s wisest men.

“Success consists of going from failure to failure without loss of enthusiasm.” – Winston Churchill

“Enthusiasm is the mother of effort and without it nothing great was ever achieved.”- Ralph Waldo Emerson

“Enthusiasm is the yeast that makes your hope shine to the starts. Enthusiasm is the sparkle in your eye, the swing in your gait, the irresistible surge of will and energy to execute your ideas.” – Henry Ford

“Creativity is a natural extension of our enthusiasm.” – Earl Nightingale

What did these great men all have in common? They each had a passion for life and enthusiasm about their work.  If you need a little encouragement or a push in the right direction, please feel free to reach out at any time. Discover what sets your soul on fire.
